How To Start A Gratitude Journal
Here at Mommy Fitness, we promote the use of gratitude journaling for many beneficial reasons. First and foremost, simple acts of gratitude can greatly improve your day. Jason Marsh stated, in “Tips for Keeping a Gratitude Journal”, that it, “promotes better sleep, fewer symptoms of illness, and more happiness among adults and children alike” (Marsh, 2011). All you have to do to become a professional gratitude journalist is:
1. Pick a journal you enjoy
2. Write 5, short and simple, things that you are grateful for
3. Reflect and spread gratitude throughout your day!
Here are some examples of intentions for your journal:
-I am grateful that the sun is out today.
-I am grateful I got to exercise today.
-I am grateful summer is almost here.
This is a quick and easy way to implement happiness and gratitude within your daily lives. It’s also busy mama friendly! Enjoy these few minutes a day and make it time for YOU. You’ve got this, Mama!
